The Serpent's Ring is hidden under the noses of the law and the Kingdom, in the catacombs that lie beneath SKyheimr's pristine streets. The group currently maintains control of the catacombs, and their residence is in a place tucked deep into the catacombs called The Underbelly. In order to find the ring, one must follow the red-painted snake skulls through the catacombs until they arrive to the Ring. The Serpent's Ring hosts fights for those willing to turn a blind eye to morals, betting money into a pool in hopes that their chosen fighter is victorious. Those who end up entwined in this fight ring often become permanent members, referred to as "Serpents". The group is run by an elusive and wealthy dog by the name of Scylla, who dubs herself as 'The Dragon'. However, she often lets her right-hand man and on-and-off lover, Taipan, handle most of her affairs publically.Beneath the Ring's promise of being completely voluntary, the Ring keeps members and participants silent and loyal by using outstanding debts, bribes and threats. The Ring is also happy to loan money out to anyone in desperate need of coin who comes to them, though their interest rate typically sends people even deeper into the hole. This method of recruitment is used to encourage desperate individuals to partake in the fighting in hopes of repaying such owed dues. Once you enter the ring, there is one of three things waiting for you at the end of a bloody battle: victory, defeat or death. If you play the game right, you might end up living a life of glory and wealth.Of course, it’s a game you’re meant to lose.
